Double Eyelid Surgery


Double eyelid surgery is a very popular and there are several approaches to surgery.

Upon initial consultation the suitable method will be discussed. These methods are:

 

1) Full Incision Method

2) Buried Sutured (non-incision) Method

3) Partial Incision Method: Ideal for patients who have droopy eyes with thin monolids or thin eyelid skin and for those who desire a shorter recovery period than the full incision method

 

Quick facts:

Hospitalisation: None, you stay in the clinic for a few hours only.

Recovery: Most of the bruising and swelling disappear within 2-4 weeks after surgery. after 3 months it will look natural as new skin tissue is formed. The speed of recovery will depend on the thickness of the skin and the method of surgery.

Stitch removal: 5-7 days after surgery, depending on what method you choose.

Anesthesia: Local anesthesia and sedation.

Length of surgery: 1-2 hours
